The Deliverer is an everyday Joe. Not your typical post apocalyptic hero. I was heavily inspired by the character designs from Paranorman and other Laika films.

This was the first concept I did for the project. A simple exploration of body proportions. #4 was my favorite but the mass of #8 worked better for the project. I ended up going with a hybrid of the two.

We had planned to make a bunch of different deliverer types so I had to streamline the body a bit to be "one size fits all".

Deliverer

I created this concept for the indie game Deliver Us for Scuttlebutt Games. Deliver Us is a tense top-down twin-stick shooter action game with a surprisingly deep building, crafting, and resource management meta game.

You play a Deliverer, an unlikely chap or chappette who wants to give your neighborhood a chance to live in a demon swept suburbia. Using cricket bats, shotguns, and legendary holy artifacts, you are humanity's last hope for next day shipping.
